Unfortunately, an infuriating cold and uncomfortably strong south westerly, winter wind was blowing, irritatingly, tunneling up the lagoon on 25th June 2016, offering difficult conditions. The first of two paintings commenced on the day, this landscape, looking south to Mourawaring Headland from the Cochrone Lagoon entrance, at Copacabana and MacMasters Beach, was executed during '5 Lands Art in the Open', a subsidiary plein air painting activity of 'The 5 Lands Walk' on the NSW Central Coast. The final touches were applied on later days in my home studio.
